when I grow up I want to be …
This morning I was snuggling with #1 on the couch and out of the blue he said:
“There are just so many things I want to be when I grow up, I just don’t know what to do. I want to be an:
- Archaeologist, Rock Star and I want to be in the Navy, oh yeah I also want to be a Policeman.”
#2 over heard him talking so she decided to report her career goals as well:
“I want to be a Movie Star and a Cooker.”
Then I decided to ask what #3 what she was aspiring to be. She looked up at me and with a precious grin said:
“I want to be a Mommy.”
I am sure next month things will be added and deleted from their list. When I was #1’s age I can remember that when I grew up I wanted to be a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader and a Truck Driver. Of course neither happened, but one day before I die, I will learn to drive an 18 wheeler.

What sweet things to hear! They sound precious!
Given your (self admitted) skill for driving , please advise of 18 wheeler date so we (and we will take the kids) can be out of the state.
(of course) love, dad
A- I just came by to check on ya’ll and got caught up on the Juicy tragedy. I am so sorry. I am sure it was an emotional time in your family! Glad things are going so well for the yard sale!!!
Awwww….I love conversations with kids like this. So sweet. I miss you all like c-r-a-z-y
i think you should try out for a cowboy cheerleader before you die… you never know!! ;)
A big-rig, really? Come see our neighbor and he might let you drive his. For real. No kidding!
Cute! I love having these conversations with my kids – Abby’s list to date is – shoe shop owner (but she will have people to run it), a flower shop owner, a painter, a teacher & can I still be a Mummy too? LOVE IT!!! Jack wants to be a firetruck – not a fireMAN but the truck lol
Neat post!!!! I did not know you could swim there!
