So cute and little.
I spent last Sunday falling in love with her.

ARCHIVES — August 2008
The celebrations have come to an end. My #3 had her last party today and it was with our family. It was hot as blazes but nobody melted and all seemed to have a great time.

Lots of people dressed up. Check out my dad!

My parents made the cake … I know – I am a very lucky girl! Beats anything you can order at a store!

Ok, I am beat.
I am off to bed!
Today was her Pirate Party with her homeschooling friends. 28 precious kids helped us celebrate. We had an amazing time. Seeing all our children running around together having so much fun made me realize again just how fortunate we are. I am so so SO blessed to have so many families in our area that I just LOVE.

If MY DOG eats CAT POOP ONE MORE TIME I think I might lose it!
Macy has been a complete joy lately. So super cute and sweet … gentle, loving and kind … a wonderful family pet. Lately we have been letting her roam the backyard more freely. Today I let her outside to get her energy out. A bit later, I called her and she obeyed and came right to me. I noticed her beard was dirty so I opened her mouth and with a wet wipe rubbed her teeth … there it was … CAT DOO DOO! Made me so mad. She’s outside tied up for the rest of the day.
I have spoken with my vet about this and we almost came close to having a nasty argument over it. He really wants me to believe that my dog … who eats one of the most expensive well balanced dog/puppy you can buy … needs the extra vitamins that is found left over in my cat’s (who eats the cheapest cat food you can buy) POOP! I know I don’t have a veterinarian degree – but to me it sounds like complete NONSENSE! I think at heart she is a nasty girl who’s got a flava for some nasty crap.
So, I am off to surf the web in hopes to find something that I can give my cat in her food that makes her poop so super completely and totally gross that my dog will never EVER want to eat her DOO DOO ever AGAIN!
I seriously cannot believe my baby is 5. Where has the time gone.
This sweet piece of messy love is such a joy. She’s amazing and I am so proud to call her mine!
Check out her new shoes. She is so protective of them. She won’t walk with them on the grass or let them get wet in the rain.

She shared a small family party with my dad this weekend.

I know it’s kinda last minute, but Saturday morning to mid-afternoon I am available to shoot portraits in my hometown (Atlanta area). If you are interested, leave me a comment (I won’t publish your information) and I will contact you.
One of my grandfather’s, PaPa, brothers was in the Air Force. He, Dow, was stationed in Germany and it was there where he fell in love with a German girl named Inge. He stayed in Germany and married her and together they had 2 kids – Christopher and Heidi. I have so many fond memories of “Uncle Dow” as he would come to the states often and stay with my grandparents. 20 years ago his daughter Heidi came for a visit and I just instantly bonded with her. She married and had two kids of her own and we stayed in touch through her father, but her dad passed away in 2000.
I was thrilled when I learned she planned a visit to the U.S. this summer. We got to spend two days this week with her and her kids. I absolutely loved every second.

As I was kissing the girls goodnight and laying beside them in their beds, tears just flooded my eyes. I just became completely overwhelmed with love for them. I am just SO blessed. My kids are such an amazing reward.
As I went to pull away from #2, she said, “Please don’t go, I still haven’t gotten enough of you yet.” I just melted into a puddle. After spending 24/7 with her, I hadn’t gotten enough of her either.
Friday as I worked in my kitchen, this was the view out my window.
3 Pirates:

They look tough and serious.

And they love the Chinese.
The three of them have listened/watched this video – oh … just about a ka-gillion times! When one of the male performers pops on the screen #3 says, “OH, I like him … oh – I really like that one.” I wish my video camera was working so I could capture the cuteness of them sitting around my monitor trying to sing along in Chinese.

This year my #3 wants a Pirate’s of the Caribbean birthday party. Though she has never seen any of the movies, she’s all about it and wants everyone who comes to dress up and have a treasure hunt.
I was running behind on getting the invites out – so we did the quick cheap email approach. Everyone who was invited got this pictured emailed to them.
Don’t you love her little mean pirate face?
Oh, and she said that she wanted the skull to sit on top of the sword, like she had cut it’s head off! (That’s her brother’s influence!!!!)
