We spent the weekend at my mom’s to help her host a baby shower for my cousin. I had an amazing time with my mom.
My grandmother was there and I was able to snap a quick pic of my girls and her. When my youngest was only a few months old we moved in next door to my grandmother. We lived there for 3 years. It was such a blessing.
Have I mentioned just how much I love my friends that surround me on a weekly basis? I am so happy with where we live. Here’s a little sweet piece of love that fell asleep on a concrete picnic bench during one of our home school park outings. She’s so adorable. I’ve enjoyed watching her grow and change this past year.
Well, I finally set up a flickr account. I am using it to show some of my photography until I get my “official site” up and running … which will hopefully be soon. (The guy I hired to build my website is extremely talented, just a little crazy busy.)
I am not much of a sweet eater, but since I have recently gone caffeine free (AGAIN) and I miss the sugar I normally get from my high calorie tasty beverages, chocolate and strawberries have been my latest fix.
Still waiting on some photos, so I am postponing it until Thursday. No one should be offended or embarrassed about their cars or me asking you for photos. I just know that anyone who has several young kids, it’s like impossible to keep your car under control, no matter how many times you promise yourself it’s not going to get that way, it does.
A spontaneous trip to Berry was just amazing. My man had tickets to the Florida Georgia game and my parents decided to make a quick trip to Rome so we tagged along. It turned out to be an unforgettable weekend. To quote #1, “This is been one of the best days of my life and I didn’t even play with any toys.”
Saturday – 6:45 am hike with CoCo (I didn’t get a single pic with her!!!AHHHH!) to the House o’ Dreams. We got to the top of the mountain right at sunrise. Mid morning – My parents, the kids and I hike around the woods behind Swan Lake and Frost Chapel. Mid afternoon – #3 was over hiking so she stayed behind to nap with mom and the rest of us hiked around old Victory Lake. That night Dad treated us to a steak at Longhorns…. yummy! Later that night mom and dad had to head home and CoCo and her daughter Neely came and spent the night.
Sunday- Early morning I got almost a full hour of snuggle time with the kids in bed. Mid morning – random hike through the woods. After lunch we packed up and then headed to main campus to go through the Ford buildings. Before we left the kids and I ended up in the Ford Auditorium. We all sat down and the kids started asking a lot of questions about college.
#2 – “You mean, you can got out of the buildings whenever you want too, you don’t have to ask somebody?”
#1 – “Can you go and get groceries whenever you want?”
#2- “Can you do your home work, whenever you want?”
#2 – “What did you eat when you were in college?”
#1 – “I hope you and daddy can afford to send me to college here.”
#2 – “When I get bigger I want to live in a dorm.”
It was so really neat watching my children enjoy and love a place that is SO special to me. The experience of going to college at Berry is …well I don’t know how to put it into words. Thanks mom and dad for allowing me to study there.
The sweet baby is back in the hospital. They are trying to determine whether it’s his heart or his lungs that are causing problems. Please pray for him.

The other day I caught #3 expressing herself by making “moo-zick” in the pantry. She loves to pick up two wooden skewers and jam.
Tonight I will be traveling solo. I’m excited. I am headed to our Alma Mater for the weekend. I am going to see a college friend’s new sweet baby and help my roommate at an event for Open Door Children’s Home. (My amazing hubby built that website!) On my way back south I might hit our old church and hang out with the Whittakers for a while. It will be a great break, but I know me, there is no place like home, so come Sunday, I’ll be ready to be with the 4 people I love the most – my sweet little family.
